Bailey earned her Master’s degree in Water Resources Science, with a minor in Land and Atmospheric Science, from the University of Minnesota in 2023, where her research explored how management practices impact soil health indicators like soil structure and water infiltration and outcomes for the environment and farmer well-being. Bailey also holds a BS in Environmental Science and Environmental Education from the University of Minnesota (2021). She has hands-on experience in soil assessment and has served as a co-coach for the UMN Soil Judging team. Bailey is an Extension educator specializing in soil health and water resources, with a focus on helping producers improve soil health and boost farm profitability through practices like continuous living cover and reduced tillage. Her favorite place to talk with producers about soil health is inside a soil pit.
